# Editing & Deleting Entire Menus

Once you’ve created a navigation menu, you can update its name or remove it entirely when it’s no longer needed.

## Renaming or Updating a Menu

1. In the left sidebar, click **Content**, then under **Appearance** select **Navigation**..
2. Hover over the menu you wish to change and click the on the menu option under **Actions** column menu.
3. Select **Edit**/**Rename** based on the action you want to perform. Make the required changes.
4. Click **Save** to apply your changes.

## Deleting a Menu

<Warning> Deleting a menu removes it permanently. Ensure it isn’t actively used by your live theme.</Warning>

1. In the left sidebar, click **Content**, then under **Appearance** select **Navigation**..
2. Hover over the menu you wish to change and click the on the menu option under **Actions** column menu.
3. Select **Delete**.
4. Confirm the deletion in the prompt.
